Fall Sessions 2014 {Boston Portrait Photographer}

With the cute kid factor off the charts, beautiful weather and perfect fall leaves, this year's fall sessions were a great success! My clients were rock stars, taking on the crazy Salem traffic and even a rain delay in the middle of the day. Salem Willows Park was a new location for CSP and it served my current and new clients well, I thought!

The Callanans {Boston portrait photographer}

I got an email from the wife of a classmate of mine from good old Wakefield High weeks ago. Her in-laws had their heart on our beautiful Wakefield Common, and while I tried to talk them out of it because getting nice shots there can be trickier that one might think (people on the common, on the gazebo, poor light, too much green glow from trees, a dark gloomy lake), they wanted to give it a try anyway. We got a beautiful day for it and they were such a fun bunch to work with too!

Springing into Spring!

This is Caleb. He's four years old and I had great fun chasing him around Endicott Park a few weekends ago. The weather is finally beautiful here in New England and I'm psyched my clients are taking advantage! His Mom Stacey was the ultimate photographer's sidekick, keeping up with her active guy and keeping him laughing and engaged. When parents are patient and relaxed it makes a world of difference during a session, so thanks Stacey! I asked Stacey if I could share a little fact about her youngest of three. Caleb has Mastocytosis. That's why he looks like he might have just recovered from the chicken pox. It does not slow him down in the least however!

Abby and Her Family

I had the privilege of photographing Abby and her family again in Hingham. The last time we met, it was just Abby and her mom Alyssa, with Charlotte on the way. How nice to meet the whole family this time! If only we could all be as happy as Abby seems to always be. She's such a ray of sunshine (and I'm not just saying that because she's a fellow-redhead)!

Fall Session Day 2012

Last weekend, I hosted what I hope will be an annual event - Fall Session Day!  While our initial plan was to have the event (a day filled with half-hour photo sessions) take place at Endicott Park, a Boy Scout event was going to happen on that same day at Endicott. Not wanting to take on the challenge of working around hundreds little uniformed boys, I switched the location to Lynch Park in Beverly. Although it was chilly, it was a great day. It was so nice to see families that I have worked with in the past and meet some new people too!  Everyone did such a great job during their sessions. We had toddlers and teens and itty-bitty babies too, and all our sessions still went smoothly, even with that distracting, tempting playground luring some away from the camera!

I'm so very grateful for my wonderful clients. I really do enjoy working with all of you!  Thanks for making it such a fun and I felt, successful day!

Rich and Paula

Rich and Paula's pretty pretty wedding took place on a gorgeous day earlier this summer. Set in Salem, MA, the event was tennis themed (yes, you read that right!), as tennis is something the couple share a passion for. It was so nice to be called back to Paula's family after I photographed her sister's wedding a few years ago!

Lynch Park with Sandi's Family!

It's always a great thing when clients come back for more.  I was so flattered to hear that Sandi enjoyed her family's session and the photos that resulted last year so much that she wanted to book another session this year. Hooray! This time we decided to check out Lynch Park in Beverly. We couldn't have asked for a better scenario; the temperature outside was just right and the light was perfect!

I love to see from year to year how the kids have grown, too. And have I mentioned how grateful I am to have so many awesome clients?

Abby

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting Abby and her mom, Alyssa. We had attempted to connect for our session the week before but we were rained out. So, last weekend, although a bit overcast, was a go! I met the two at Weir River Farm for the session and had a very nice time wandering the grounds, playing a bit of Simon Says and checkin' out the cows. Abby's outfit was too cute, and Alyssa informed me that Abby had chosen it herself, which of course made me like the two of them even more.

John Daniel

It was back to Endicott Park for a session with cutie-pie JD!  His mom and I went to high school together and shared many band-related experiences. Now, she's a mom and I was psyched to take some good shots of her little one (actually, I photographed JD the day he was born. Kristen had hoped I would cover his birth, but a c-section brought that to a halt!).

William

I recently had the pleasure of meeting William, who is a friend of Noah's. For our session with William and his mom and dad, we went to a nearby park, ran around, blew some bubbles...it was a jolly time!

A very nice response from Amanda, William's mom, after she got a chance to look at and share her photos;

Hi Cydney, I wanted to share... on Monday I had sent my dad (who lives in NC) the link to the pictures.  He had had an especially tough day.  I was on the phone with him as he went through, and his reaction to EACH and every one was priceless.  He is in a lot of physical pain (long story) and he said that after looking at those pictures he couldn't even feel the pain.  He truly was thrilled and kept complimenting your work.  He also said, which I had thought the same thing, that when he thinks of William and his personality, you captured a piece of each aspect of him.  So I wanted to thank you for such an amazing gift... hearing his joy was the best! ~Amanda

Amanda & Billy

A few weeks ago I got an email from Amanda, whose boyfriend Billy was coming home from his military duties in Pensacola to spend the weekend with her for her birthday. She also wanted their picture taken together while he was home. That's where I come in. After lots of back and forth to figure out the best spot to meet at and have a photo session, we settled on Powissett Farm in Dover, MA. I was a little concerned that meeting there on a Sunday would result in crowds but to our surprise, it was completely quiet on the farm (who wouldn't want to spend their sunday visiting pigs?). Photographing these two was great fun and for a pair who claim to not be "touchy feely", the did a fine job during their session!
