Julie and Sarah

Julie was visiting family locally from Louisiana and made a photo session appointment with me. These are some favorites form her session with her daughter, Sarah, who was not feeling too smiley til the end of the shoot. Who can blame her with out hot hot weather and the strange lady with the big black thing in front of her face!

Hailey and her Parents!

I went to school with Jason and Jamie. We were "band geeks" together. It's so bizaare but great to reconnect with people from what feels like so far from my past. They are now married after running into each other once out of high school and hitting it off. And now they are parents to Miss Hailey, who is just under two years-old!

Sarah's family

When I entered their home, Alex, came running around the corner, cracker in mouth, "Cydney! Are marble tracks your favorite thing in the world?!" I told him I didn't know but if he showed me one it may become my favorite thing in the world. At the end of our shoot, Alex let me play with it a bit; a tower of plastic tracks, tubes and spinning wheels that marbles pass through from the top. Very cool, and quite possibly my new favorite thing.

Jason, Kimberley and Owen!

I am learning that the best advertising is word of mouth. Thanks to the Jacquie's dad, I received an email from Kimberley, who was looking to have photos done for the holidays with her husband Jason and their son Owen.

Kimberley came across Mystic River Reservation, and suggested we go their for photos. The variety of vistas - tall grasses and willow trees, benches and a tower, gave us many great places to snap some shots. Good thinking, Kim!

This is my favorite of the family shots.

I like the movement created in this shot by a slightly slower shutter speed.
Can't have a shoot without Ducky!

Keira and her Family

I photographed this cutie and her family one day before the surgery to have my collar bone properly attached with the help of some metal and a skilled surgeon. Back in January I broke my collar bone while learning to ski. Four months later, it still hurt and a second opinion confirmed that something was wrong. My bones were experiencing "non-union". So, now, four days after surgery, I am slowly on the mend. As I am incapable of sitting still, I just finished editing and color-correcting the collection for this little one's parents.
