You gave me three words to describe yourself at the end of our conversation, but did not include "original". I think this word is a good one for you. Your peaceful nature joined with your tendency to be straightforward and opinionated are a great combination. "Straightforward and opinionated" may sound negative, but in my meaning and perspective, it is nothing short of real, refreshing, and somehow, never unkind. You are indeed interested (in the world) and interesting!

I photographed Shannon February 19, 2016, during our annual pilgrimage to Florida to participate in the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival together. We met the first time in passing at Ohio University when we were both studying photography there and then again a second time in 2002 when I joined the staff at The Palm Beach post where she was a photographer. She lives in IL with her husband Spence, their dogs Jojo and Lucy, their cats Paul and Bailey, and her step-daughter Anna.
