Making Your Senior Session Shine!
Hey there, Senior, and congratulations on your upcoming graduation!
I can’t wait to meet you and work with you. Here are some thoughts about what to expect and a bit of homework for you:
We’ll spend 60 minutes together for your session. Generally we’ll wander an area to find the best light and backgrounds. You are welcome to weigh in if you see a spot you like. Not up to making decisions? Totally fine! I’ll make them for you, and you can trust they’ll be good ones. (I’ve been doing this for a while!)
Outfit changes are welcome, as long as you keep in mind that it will cut into the session time. Be sure to let me know you’ll be doing a change of outfit so we can plan for accommodations.
If doable, we’ll meet later in the day, depending on the time of year. Late afternoon and early evening light always looks great.
Please consider/remember:
Have a snack before your session. Feeling hangry is no fun.
If you plan on bringing fancy shoes, bring comfy shoes to throw on in between shots. Your session may take place in an area where we wander quite a bit, and your feet will hurt. Think you can walk a mile or two in those cute shoes? Bring comfortable ones anyway. If you don’t need them, great! If you do need them and you didn’t bring them, you’ll be hurting.
Speaking of style: This is super important! Consider your outfit carefully. If you’re bringing more than one, can you sit criss-cross on the ground in one of your outfits? Are you comfortable enough to do a walking shot in those high heels? Can you crouch or sit on the ground in a variety of poses without your clothes riding up? Please help me make the best out of your session by not limiting your movement or poses with your clothing choices.
Consider colors other than white, beige, tan, and pastels. They can really wash out skin tones. Consider stronger colors if you’re comfortable in them since they’ll really help your photos POP!
Please fill out the following and get it to me ASAP, but no later than one week before your session date.
